Receive a preliminary consultation either by e-mail, telephone, or in person (if local) with our web development team to determine what we can do for your business.

During this phase we will discuss the purpose of your site, define the goals and image you wish to convey to your audience. We will also gather information about your business, products, service and target market to define your requirements for a web site. When this information has been gathered and analyzed we will be able to provide you with an accurate price quote and a web site proposal that will outline what your site will include and an estimated date for completion.

Contract & Deposit

Once the contract has been signed and returned to us along with a deposit of 15% of your estimated price we can commence the planning and creation of your site. The required 15% deposit will allow us to register your domain name(s) and secure your order. Please send any payment inquiries to payment@sampled.org.

Domain name and Web hosting selection

Every site requires a domain name (www.sampled.org). If you do not already have one we will register your chosen domain name(s) on your behalf. It is best to have a few choices incase your first choice is already taken. Try to choose a name that is easy for your clients/customers to remember, while being directly related to your business, product or service.

At this point we can also set up an appropriate web hosting package for you. This is also required, as your site needs a home on the web. We have several packages to choose from at very competitive prices and can assist you with selecting the most appropriate one. If you already have a site hosted with another company and would like to transfer to one of our plans we would be happy to assist you.

Design

During this phase we will create several web site designs that we think are appropriate for your business based on your requirements. We will have a private and secure space on our site available for you to view these designs.

This is where you need to be as critical as possible, and to choose the design(s) that most suit your company’s identity. Your feedback is extremely important and we will listen to your comments and ideas and adapt our designs to fit. You may like certain elements form several different designs and wish to combine them, or you may be inspired and come up with a totally new concept, which is great too.

Please keep in mind that this is the stage were there is flexibility to make major design changes. Once the site is under construction it is much more difficult, time consuming and costly to make major changes. However refinements and minor changes will most certainly occur throughout the creation process.

Production& Development

At this time all materials and resources for the project are collected or produced. Helpful material to be submitted includes:

• Company logo / letterhead
• Brochures / pamphlets
• Print ads
• All text or copy for site
• All contact information
• Product and services list
• Shipping rates
• Payment instructions / methods
• Product / Service specifications like height and weight
• Quality photographs and images – (We have access to 1000’s of royalty free images if required)
• Anything and everything else you want on your site

Preferably this material will be in digital format for example all text will be in a .txt or word file and images will be in .jpg or .gif format, but if required we can work with nearly any file or medium.

Construction

Construction of your site will commence with the creation of your home page. We will incorporate all of your requests, input, goals, and requirements into the design. Once construction of your home page is complete and you have approved the final design and layout, we will continue to create the rest of your site based on this page.

Please be aware that once a final design is agreed upon and work has commenced all MAJOR add-on’s, services, redesign, after thoughts, and work are considered additional work and will be billed accordingly.

MAJOR changes can best be described as changing the layout, requesting a database, or wanting the site done in flash after work has commenced. Up until this point we will change anything you wish for no extra fee.

MINOR changes such as requesting a different or a smaller font, changing images, formatting text and such will not incur any extra charges.

We will let you know if a requested change is a major or minor one and you will not incur any charge unless the change is agreed upon.

Preview

At this point your site is complete and ready for your users but you still have the option to make changes or fine-tune things by making minor changes. Your fully functional site will be hosted securely on our web server for you to view until we receive your final approval. By doing this, your site is kept private and will only go public when you are ready.

Launch site

Your site is published for the world to see and use! Final payment is now due; we will send you an invoice with your total and payment instructions. After your payment on the balance of your new site is received we will transfer your site to your web space and send you conformation that your site is active. Finally we will mail your site to you on a compact disc. This is your back up copy and final version of your site, keep it safe.

Promote, Support, Maintain

This process will span several weeks when we will be in regular contact to ensure your web site is performing as intended.

Now is the time to advertise and promote your site both online and offline. Tell friends, business acquaintances, make advertisements and don’t forget to add your new web address to emails and business cards. We will submit your new site to the top search engines for you. If you require more intense or aggressive online marketing then please let us know, as we are able to help.

Don’t forget to keep your site up-to-date and maintained. We offer a relatively inexpensive Web Master service to our clients which includes such things as weekly statistic reports that will tell you valuable information about your visitors, 24/7 technical support, updates and much more.
