Wall Street Journal ,has reported on Thursday , the 26th of April, 2012 that the Federal Trade Commission has hired the services of a seasoned and highly experienced litigator to lead the antitrust investigations against the dominance of Google Inc. in internet advertising.

The hiring of Beth Wilkinson, who is a partner at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and also a former prosecutor with the Justice Department has sent signals that the Commission is ready to the internet giant to court if necessary. However, Google Inc. has not yet commented on this move against its internet advertising programs.

The Federal Commission had launched a probe last year to look into Google's growing network of internet advertising at the expense of rival service providers in the industry. Goggle's practices and the unfair steering of users into the Company's internet advertising web are also under the scanner.

Ms. Wilkinson is expected to be a key player in the decision of the FTC's staff on whether to bring a complaint against Google Inc. She is one of the many outside counsels who have been drafted by the Government to look into high profile anti trust cases in the past few years.

Internet advertising is one of the major money spinners for Google Inc, and its upgraded technology and consistent innovative programs have been a cause of concern for other players in the industry.

Backed by the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce, the centre along with the fund is geared to provide training, guidance as well as technical assistance as small business support aids for starters. The goal is to nurture and make the small business prospects stable in the city to aid economic development in the long run. Small business support initiatives like these are important given the current economic scenario of the state.

Chesapeake Energy has been recommended as a good buy by portfolio managers with the Company's CEO, Aubrey McClendon , borrowing as much as $1.1 billion from the Company by using his stake in Chesapeake's many wells as a collateral. Chesapeake Energy is responsible for 8 percent of gas production in in the US and with natural gas prices being at an all time low, it is a good bargain to invest in the Company stocks.

The embattled Chesapeake Energy CEO, Aubrey McClendon, is also under pressure to step aside as the mounting potential conflicts of interests have made the issue controversial with the BOD and the CEO coming under fire from the shareholders. The angst is regarding his personal borrowings of $1 billion plus from EIG Global Energy Partners, which is a private equity firm that is involved in several deals with the Company.

The natural oil and gas giant has reported in its regulatory filings on Friday, the 20th of April-2012 ,about the CEO's compensation for 2011 as being $ 17.9 million, which was around 15 percent lower than 2010 due to smaller stock grants. McClendon's share returns amounted to $18.9 million. The CEO's personal expenses from the usage of the corporate aircraft has been valued at $500,000, personal accounting support costs stood at $250,000 and $121,500 was spent on personal security. With such figures it is not surprising that the CEO, Aubrey McClendonis under immense scrutiny.
