In the latest Billboard Music chart trends, Adele's powerhouse single "Rolling in the Deep" continues it's reign as the top song in the country while Lady Gaga ranks as the most popular artist. Adele's continued reign in the top spot brings her winning streak to six weeks.

Unfortunately, it's not all good news for Adele, who had to cancel the rest of her US tour due to a bad case of laryngitis. Since Lady Gaga's new album "Born This Way" dropped at the end of May and went platinum in a week, she has continued to score high marks in terms of album sales and online views. Another performer that's had a huge week is the most recent winner of "American Idol" Scotty McCreery, whose single "I Love You This Big" debuted at #12 on the Billboard's Top 200.

The last several years have not been kind to Britney Spears, as the media attention shifted from her work to her personal problems and public breakdowns. This spate of bad press had many predicting that her music career was over, she has been able to make a comeback over the past week, all the way to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Music Charts with her latest album Femme Fatale.

The album sold 276,000 copies in the first week, to beat out Wiz Khalifa's latest release Rolling Papers which holds the No. 2 spot. It sounds like some of Britney's new tunes were inspired by Lady Gaga singles, but that doesn't seem to bother fans who appear ready to welcome back the former pop megastar. While some might call her music generic, the style of pop she represents will always remain popular among a key demographic who tend to care more about skilled performance and image then the content of the music itself.

Katy Perry's new video for her hit song 'E.T.' is set to be released next week. The remixed song, which features Kanye West, is already sitting near the top of the Billboard music charts Hot 100. But for all of her fans who are used to seeing Katy in bubble gum colors and latex dresses, they will be in for quite a shock when they see her new video.

Still photos from the video have been released featuring Katy in futuristic make-up that makes her look very alien. This is not the 'Teenage Dream' Katy Perry that fans know and love, but that doesn't mean they don't think she still looks good. As soon as these looks hit the internet, a couple of fans immediately set to work copying Katy's 'E.T.' looks and posting them online. One fan even made a make-up tutorial to inspire others who want to recreate the look.
